about

This is the 3rd release by Tantrum Of The Muse

This is the last "physical" release from the band. Recorded Live at Tom Fest 2000 in Stevenson, WA, during our "40 Days Of Disaster" tour, in support of Modernmu$ick(2000)! We played around 10AM on a beautiful sunny day, facing snow capped mountains. While it was one of the most beautiful views i ever witnessed stage side.. this time slot, in my humble opinion, sucked some of the personality from us. Granted, the music is all there.

In addition to the live set, there is also a bonus track, which is the extended version of "The Bowels Of Elkton". This track is featured only on the digital download, and not on the CD version, although the unreleased portion of the song is available on the CD, under the name "The Lyre And The Pipe"

Also, we included another bonus track (also available on the CD version) is a 1996 song that Udrick and myself composed, shortly before we formed TOTM called "Downtrodden". This was originally found on our demo "Candied Screams" a 1996 hardcore punk cassette we made, which was the 2nd release under our terrible punk moniker "Ruckus"
We were embarrassed by how high school hard core our pre-TOTM music (with the exception of KLRadio, but that is another post for another bandcamp page) but we always loved this track. So that was released on the CD and digital copies.

I am not the biggest fan of this release, as many would know. i hate the title. I hate the cover. I hate that I let Udrick design and title this release. Truth be told... it only happened because he fought me on the art direction of modernmu$ick and i got my way :)

But, for what its worth (history preservation?) I humbly release it to you
